Further afield venture to Castlebar, Westport and on into Connemara or to the coast of North Mayo - Downpatrick Head, the Ceide fields and the North Mayo sculpture trail. The hills and boglands of Mayo are rugged and generally unspoilt, with large Lough Conn lake and River Moy offering excellent fishing.
