"We found that this park was pretty central to everywhere we wanted to go it took us 15 minutes at the most. Also it was lovely and peaceful with no fast cars to worry about while walking with our two little boys. Very enjoyable."

"The setting is excellent the staff very helpful and location ideal for visiting local sites. "
Mrs N, 25 February 2008

"The park is full of entertainment for all the family. Our 2 year old granddaughter absolutely loved the Castle and all its facilities - it was difficult to get her to leave the site. Rufford Abbey Country Park is just across the road and we really enjoyed its extensive grounds where we fed ducks and Genevieve played in the play areas and I wheeled the pram round the arboretum to get our grandson to sleep. There is also such a lot to do in the area when you do leave the park."
Mrs D, 06 July 2009

"An excellent quiet site suitable for families with a wide age range of children. We are a family of 5. My husband is disabled and we have 3 special needs children aged from 7 - 16 years. All of us were very happy with our weekend break. The staff are friendly and accomodating of all of the needs of the children and my husband and we would all highly recommend the archery. A very affordable holiday with high standards of accommodation facilities and lots to do both on and off site. "
Mr A, 10 November 2008

Mr A, 18 June 2009

"We have recently returned from a Friday to Tuesday break and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been to many parks and this by far exceeded my expectations. It was a home from home experience and we could not have wanted for anything more. The facilities were very clean and kept 3 children ranging in age from 5 - 15 occupied. The accommodation was spacious and very well presented in a beautiful setting. The park is well situated to explore the surrounding area and 4 nights simply wasn't enough to do and see everything. I would most definitely recommend this park!"
Mrs H, 24 March 2009

"Brilliant accommodation - spacious and of a high standard and plenty for the children to do (aged 9 11 and 16 years). A quiet park so restful holiday but packed with fun for the children - everyone was happy!!"

"A fantastic park very quiet so its great if you really want to relax. The accommodation was perfect very functional and at last somewhere that gives you a full sized fridge freezer. It was also great to have a DVD player and a Freeview box! The park is a short walk to Rufford Abbey/Mill and Lake but only 10mins from Sherwood forest (Major Oak) and about the same from Sherwood Pines (great for cycling well maintained rental bikes). Near Sherwood Pines there is a pub called the Dog & Duck - worth a visit!"
