The ski-area of the Alpe dHuez, close to Grenoble, one of the biggest in the world, offers 220 km of slopes facing south and the splendid panorama of the Ecrins and will largely satisfy all ski-lovers. LAlpe dHuez is also known for the extensive selection of activities at hand: open-air skating rink, heated outdoor swimming-pool, more than 27 activities in the fields of sports and culture, permanently available in the modern and spacious Palais des Congres, cinemas, golf set-up, climbing wall, fitness).
